I see the Stereolab but haven't heard it though I may have it, Angelo Badalamenti is a new one on me, as are Fred Wesley & the Horny Horns and Cliff Carlisle, we may never know who was responsible for the theme to Hot Wheels! Yeah, the Hot Wheels theme is uncredited, so I put down what I had. The Stereolab song is from 'Sound-Dust,' and it's rather faboo, too. Badalamenti is a movie/TV soundtrack composer, mostly for David Lynch. Fred and the Horns are expatriates from the JB's, James Brown's backing group. And Cliff Carlisle is a country hillbilly/folk singer, circa 1935. SInce I had Cliff Carlisle, and Elsie Carlisle, I was kind of hoping to get a song by Belinda Carlisle in the shuffle too, especially as there is some Belinda Carlisle in the iPod. Alas, it was not to be...

Well you always surprise me WT my opinion on US and UK humour kind of leads me to imagine Python might not be acceptable or popular there [though even some of us don't 'get it'] - that's a nice little sketch ["Can he talk? - Of course I can talk Mother I am Minister for Overseas Development"!]
I have stacks of comedy in iTunes but very rarely does a track come up to be fair so I am pleased when it does. I don't know Royal Da Sur Count or The Golliwogs I'm afraid.

Monty Python was very big here, many Americans can quote lines from the show at you. Personally, I prefer Brit-coms to U.S. sit-coms, so of course I know it. I'm also a big fan of The Good Life, No Job For A Lady, Piglet Files, Do Not Adjust Your Set, Are You Being Served, Blackadder, Red Dwarf, AbFab, Mr. Bean, etc. And I HATE 'Keeping Up Appearances.' pukeity puke... Sur Royal Da Count is a 60's primitive garage dude along the lines of Hasil Adkins., but more 'rock.' The Golliwogs, after discovering what a Golliwog actually WAS, quickly changed their name to Creedence Clearwater Revival, and had many hits... Love that Lee Perry in your mix.... Al Jolson?!?!?! I had never heard of M83 til you told me about them. Since then, I've heard about 5 songs by them and think they're rather nice... SHARKBOY MEETS GRANDPABOY SHUFFLE Social Fools - Devo Suggestion Diabolique - Stereolab Caravan - Eighty Drums Around The World When I Was Cruel (No. 1) - Elvis Costello & the Imposters Revenge (rehearsal) - The Knack Skeleton And The Roundabout - The Idle Race Take My Hand - Sharkboy Get A Move On - Grandpaboy Ever - Flipper Listening Wind - Talking Heads
